The documents which a foreigner has to provide depend on the study mode (see Study modes in Poland). They involve a secondary school graduation certificate, higher education graduation certificate or university graduation certificate which entitle to apply for a particular course of studies.

A foreigner needs to provide the following documents:

  • 1st cycle studies or Master’s long-cycle studies (see: Study modes in Poland): a secondary school graduation certificate which is an equivalent of a certificate issued abroad which entitles to apply for a university in an issuing country
  • 2nd cycle studies (see: Study modes in Poland): 1st cycle studies graduation diploma issued in Poland or its equivalent issued abroad which entitles to 2nd cycle studies
  • post-graduate studies (see: Types of studies in Poland): 1st cycle studies graduation diploma, 2nd cycle studies graduation diploma or Master’s long-cycle studies graduation diploma, all issued in Poland or their equivalents issued abroad which entitle to postgraduate studies
  • doctoral studies: 2nd cycle or Master’s long-cycle studies graduation diploma or diplomas issued abroad which are equivalents of Polish diplomas
