Residence card

The foreigner who obtained a fixed-term domicile permit is granted a residence card.

A stamp duty for issuing a residence card amounts to 50 PLN. This fee must be paid together with the stamp duty for issuing a fixed-term domicile permit (a total of 390 PLN) at the cashier’s office of the province office or in the form of a bank transfer to the bank account of this office. Bank account numbers of individual province offices are available on their websites.

A residence card, in the period of its validity, confirms the identity of the foreigner during his stay on Polish territory and, together with a travel document (passport), authorises him to repeatedly cross the Polish border without being granted a visa.

A foreigner should receive a residence card personally. In the case of a minor under 13 years of age, the residence card is received by its parents or guardians.
